Day 1 - Pérou / Huaraz

Arrival in Huaraz

Arrival and check into your hotel
Night at hotel El Patio Monterrey.

Day 2 - Pérou / Huaraz

Visit Caraz and its market

Perou - Cordillere blanche - Marché

 Departure to the north of the valley and visit Caraz’s market. Climb to the valley Parón. Arrival at the lake, 4,300 m.; Nice walk along the lake. This site is surrounded by snow-capped peaks of over 6,000 m.

Day 3 - Pérou / Caney Chico

The beginning of the trek with llamas

Departure from Huaraz to Olleros, passing by the southern part of the Santa valley, and arrival at Caney Chico. Your llamas and guides will expect you to start the trek. After an andean breakfast, trek departure at 3450 meters towards the ravines of Tuctu and Arwaycancha before arriving at the first camp at 3,900 m . On the way, llameros make offerings of coca leaves to wankas sacred.

Day 4 - Pérou / Hirka Huantsan

Accompanied by lamas continued walking trails préincas among the peaks of the Tsacracancha at  Otutu Valley and Paso Yanashallash (4,700 m);  this will be the opportunity to remember the prehispanic past and the Peruvians ancestors of the great pilgrimages. Arrival at camp Kutacorral (4,200 m.), here begins the way Carhuashkancha on the slopes of  Hirka Huantsan, the sacred mountain of Chavin.

Day 5 - Pérou / Quebrada Huantsán

Your adventure continues until  « Hatúnqueñuash » (4600 m) and down through the throat Jatunqenwash and Ichikqenhuash to reach the Quebrada Huantsan between Alhuinia and Minaruri, and this is where you will set up your camp. During the day, you will see the faces northeast snowy peaks of Uruashraju (5735 m.), Rurec (5,700 m.),Huantsan (6395 m.), San Juan (5843 m.), Chinchey (6,222 m.) and Maparaju (5325 m.).

Day 6 - Pérou / Quebrada Rajuhuarushka

Departure from Huantsan along the canyon to climb Jitaqoq (4650 m), the scenery is breathtaking, foot peaks Huantsan, San Juan, Yawarraju (5675 m). groves supplied queñua announce the passing Jitaqoq where you can admire the snow-capped Andes Mountains Kayesh (5721 m.), Maparaju (5325 m.), Milpocraju (5420 m.). You descend through the Quebrada Jitaqoq, and at the beginning of Quebrada Rajuhuarushka (3,950 m), your camp will be installed.

Day 7 - Pérou / Quebrada Rajuhuarushka

Free day to relax, unforgettable day in touch with nature, the day will be dedicated to the observing the varied flora of the Andean highlands, lagoons Hatun and Ichik,  the beauty of the Cordillera Blanca in the Huascaran National Park; you can visit either the Lagoon Wituqocha or lagoons Maparaju and Tumarina in  Rajuwaruska canyon. Huascaran National Park was ranked in 1985 Natural Heritage of Humanity by Unesco, the Cordillera Blanca  is the highest tropical mountain range  in the world; thirty snowy peaks rising over   6000 m beyond them Huascaran, the highest mountain in Peru (6768 m.), dominate a landscape marked by the presence of rare botanical species or animal such as Puya raimondii or spectacled bear.

Day 8 - Pérou / Huaraz

Visit Chavin and end of the trek

Continue your journey through the Quebrada Carhuascancha to descend to the bridge « Two Loves » where the vehicle will be waiting to return to Chavin. Visit to the archaeological monument dating from 1200 bc JC and the National Museum Chavin.  Then drive back to Huaraz to your vehicle.

Day 10: Huacas of Sun and Moon and the Citadel of Chan Chan

Morning walking tour of the center of Trujillo characterized by its importance since the conquest. Its plaza de Armas is the largest of Peru, with its famous Statue of Liberty. Continuation with the visit of Huacas of the Sun and the Moon, this archaeological site consists of two large buildings of adobe pyramid-shaped located in the Moche River Valley. Visit the museum site interesting. At Huanchaco you may enjoy a lunch facing the Pacific Ocean. On the way back, visit the citadel of Chan Chan, the largest city built entirely in adobe in the world!

Day 11 - Pérou / Trujillo

Huaca El Brujo nd the archeological site of Ventarron

Road to Chiclayo. In way visit the Huaca El Brujo whose period Moche pyramids were used for the tomb of the lady of Cao, beautiful well-preserved mummy despite centuries and recently discovered, then visit the archaeological site of Ventarron, one of the most incredible archaeological discoveries of recent years in Peru. It is a mud brick temple dating back about 4000 years, some walls are decorated with murals. It is the oldest known murals in the region.

Day 12 - Pérou / Chiclayo

Túcume pyramid complex and museum of the Royal Tombs of Sipan

Visit complex pyramidal of  Túcume and Sicán, serving the Lord to borrow powers from the gods of the mountain;  you can now visit Huaca Las Balsas and its extraordinary bas-reliefs in mud, very well preserved. The new museom of Túcume site will open at the end of the year 2013. Afternoon dedicated to visit the Royal Tombs of Sipan Museum, which presents the tomb the Lord of Sipan, the largest discovery in the second half of the 20th century in Peru (museum closed on Mondays).

Day 13 - Pérou / Chiclayo

Archaeological site Kuntur Wasi

Road to Cajamarca, on the way visit archaeological site Kuntur Wasi, « where lies the Condor » and its museum. Kuntur Wasi is a ceremonial and administrative center at the top of the hill La Copa (site closed on Mondays).

Day 14 - Pérou / Cajamarca

Visit Cumbemayo site. The whole visit takes place within the framework of a surreal forest of stones which reading or interpretation depends on the imagination of visitor. Return to Cajamarca for a walking tour of the city. It has both one of the most painful memories of the end of the Incas and one of the most remarkable examples of religious architecture baroque Peru represented by its monumental Belén. A panoramic view of this beautiful colonial Andean city from the vantage point of the Santa Apolonia hill usefully complements the visit. Transfer to airport and flight to Lima.
