Day 1 - Venezuela / Caracas

Arrival in Venezuela

Arrival at Caracas and meet your local guide english speaking and transfer to the hotel
Night at the hotel.

Day 2 - Venezuela / Maturin

Caracas – Ranch San Andres

Panoramic visit of Caracas and excursion on the cable car  to have a wonderful sight of the city. Flight to Maturin and at arrival transfer by road to Ranch San Andrés, a ranch specializing in breeding cattle, located in the eastern plains near the Orinoco Delta.

Day 3 - Venezuela / Delta de l’Orénoque

From the port of Boca of Uracoa you will board a boat to reach the heart of the Orinoco Delta. Navigation on tributaries of the Orinoco is a fantastic adventure as you enter this vegetable universe dotted with small islands, canals and mangroves where hoatzins, multicolored macaws and monkeys mischievous look gliding over the wather Warao Indians’s canoe  with whom they share the second largest delta in the world. Arrival at the lodge located on an island formed by the river. Discover the pleasure of a walk in the middle of this exotic forest. During the walk through the jungle you will be in direct contact with nature, the Warao Indians will share their knowledge of plant and animal used for their food, medicine and handicrafts. You will learn some survival skills in the jungle.

Day 4 - Venezuela / Ciudad Bolivar

At daybreak, guided by the Warao Indians, go sailing aboard a curiara (Indian canoe with an engine) through clearings and tributaries to attend the awaking of the Delta and with a little luck, you’ll observe some beautiful pink dolphins and blue butterflies. Return by river and then by road to the colonial city of Ciudad Bolivar, on the edge of the Orinoco. Former first commercial port of the country and the heart of the independence movement of the South American continent, it is here that Simón Bolívar made his speech in 1819 that made date in the new republic. Installation in a beautiful building typical of Spanish colonial architecture. Free time to stroll along its wide avenues and enjoy some views from the bridge Angostura.

Day 5 - Venezuela / Canaima

Ciudad Bolivar – Canaima National Park – Salto Sapo

Light aircraft from Ciudad Bolívar to Canaima National Park, one of the biggest parks in the world, you will land in this incredible scenery that inspired Arthur Conan Doyle in writing his fantasy novel « The Lost World ». Navigation on the river Carrao to the Sapo falls for an impressive crossing on foot under the waterfall between the rock and water. Back to Canaima lagoon bordered by a pink sand beach shaded by palm trees with waterfalls all around.
Night at Waku Lodge or Tapuy Lodge.

Day 6 - Venezuela / Maracaibo

Flight to Puerto Ordaz and connect flight to Maracaibo.
Night at the hotel.

Day 7 - Venezuela / Colombie / Santa Marta

Sinamaica  –  Santa Marta (Colombia)

Excursion to Sinamaica Lagoon to see houses on piles of Añu community.  Then cross border with Colombia before arriving at Santa Marta.

Day 8 - Colombie / Santa Marta

Tayrona park, sand, sea and mountain … an explosive cocktail!

Day dedicated to tour the park Tayrona. The park is a magical beauty, trails between mountains, rainforest and sea with the most beautiful white sand beaches of the country and ancient volcanic stones bathed by the crystal blue waters of the Caribbean Sea; Park Tayrona also has archaeological remains of an ancient city of the Tayrona civilization and its agriculture and trade. Today civilization sent its culture to « Big Brothers », represented by communities Kogui, Wiwa, and Arhuaco, guardians of mystical places such as the Lost City in the Sierra Nevada.

Day 9 - Colombie / Carthagène

Road from Santa Marta to reach Cartagena located by the Caribbean sea and surrounded by bulwarks that protected her from pirates invasions.

Day 10 - Colombie / Carthagène

Cartagena, the most beautiful colonial city in South America

Walking tour  along the main squares, parks and churches, colonial neighborhoods of San Diego and Santo Domingo and Las Bovedas … Strolling amidst  its beautiful colonial houses and picturesque streets perfumed by the scents of tropical fruits and a delicious breeze.

Day 11 - Colombie / Carthagène

Rosario Islands

Boat to the National Park Rosario Islands. Swimming and lazing are in the program of the day. Kayak and snorkel-fins-masks are at your disposal for the day. After a lunch of fish and seafood, return by boat to Cartagena
Night in the historic center.

Day 12 - Colombie / Bogota

Flight to Bogota. Optional  excursion to the Salt Cathedral in Zipaquira.
Night in the capital.

Day 13 - Colombie / départ

Bogota’s Gold Museum and departure from Colombia

Stroll through the historic district of La Candelaria declared National Monument, its steep cobbled streets, its churches, its squares, its low houses with red tiles and art galleries – as the foundation dedicated to Botero -, will not fail to seduce you . The best introduction to Colombia is undoubtedly the beautiful Gold Museum and the largest collection of pre-Hispanic jewelry in the world with nearly thirty-five thousand pieces of gold and nearly thirty thousand ceramic or stone pieces. Transfert to airport and return flight.
